Roles and Responsibilities

Strategy

• Support in leading the implementation of governance mechanism, review periodic reports before submission to the concerned authorities.
• Supervise review of project budgets, determine priorities and evaluation, and submit periodic reports on financial performance for urban-planning projects in line with direction from the Chairman of the Supreme Committee.

• Supervise strategic and transformational initiatives and projects for urban planning and 

  development; follow up per plans and budgets and escalate challenges to concerned committees and task forces.

• Evaluate outputs of projects and initiatives and submit periodic progress reports with necessary recommendations.
• Supervise development and measurement of urban-planning indicators with concerned authorities and follow up on targets under Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040; submit periodic reports.
• Provide advice and recommendations on policies, strategies, trends, and important topics related to urban planning and the development; provide necessary solutions and guidance..

Operations

• Supervise the coordination of for Supreme Committee for Urban Planning (SCUP) meetings,including agendas, documents, summaries, speeches, and presentations.
• Provide technical advice on topics submitted to SCUP; prepare the required reports.
• Supervise investors’ applications received by SCUP and make recommendations in preparation for Committee decisions.
• Prepare studies and benchmarks on best practices in urban-planning management; propose innovative initiatives, ideas, and projects that contribute to continuous development.
• Develop and implement strategic communication management plans for urban planning stakeholders and ensure readiness and accuracy of documents for Director-General meetings (agendas, materials).
• Review and govern digital publications related to urban-planning files, initiatives, and projects across the Department’s website and social-media channels; report on compliance and accuracy.

Product/Process Improvement

• Review the initial progress reports on the project and initiative outputs
• Supervise development and measurement of urban-planning indicators with concerned authorities and follow up on Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040 targets, with periodic reporting.
• Prepare studies and benchmarks on best practices and propose innovative initiatives, ideas,and projects to support continuous development.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree/ Master’s degree/Ph.D in Engineering

Experience

• 9 Years in case of Master’s degree, 11 years in case ofBachelor’s degree.

Qualification

• Certifications such as PGMP, PMP
