Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and operate web applications and services across our AI product portfolio. You will own features across the full application stack, from responsive user interfaces and frontend application logic to backend services, APIs, and databases.

Working closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and applied scientists, you will translate customer needs into secure, reliable, and intuitive software. This is a hands-on engineering role with responsibility throughout the development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement in production.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver features end to end: Translate product requirements into technical designs and working software spanning the frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Build modern user interfaces: Develop responsive, accessible web applications using a framework such as React, Angular, or Vue. Create reusable components and manage application state, API integration, and loading and error experiences.
• Develop backend services and APIs: Design and maintain Python services using FastAPI or Flask, implementing business logic, validation, authentication, authorization, and integrations.
• Design and manage application data: Develop database schemas, implement migrations, and optimize queries. Select appropriate SQL or NoSQL solutions based on application needs.
• Integrate AI capabilities: Work with applied scientists to connect AI services and model APIs to usable product features, handling asynchronous operations, failures, and response times effectively.
• Build quality into delivery: Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Participate in code reviews and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Improve performance and reliability: Diagnose issues across browser, API, service, and database layers, addressing security, scalability, usability, and maintainability.
• Support production operations: Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams on CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and incident resolution. Take ownership of the production health of the features you deliver.
• Contribute technical leadership: Guide implementation decisions, explain tradeoffs, mentor engineers, and improve shared engineering practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial hands-on experience delivering both frontend and backend components of production applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience in at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Practical understanding of component design, state management, responsive layouts, accessibility, and browser performance.
• Strong backend development skills in Python, with experience using FastAPI, Flask, or a comparable framework.
• Experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.
• Experience with relational databases, including data modeling, SQL, schema migrations, and query optimization.
• Experience with automated testing across frontend and backend code, Git-based collaboration, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerized applications, and deployment to cloud environments.
• Ability to debug issues across the application stack and make practical tradeoffs between delivery speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of taking ownership from requirements through production delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI/ML services or generative AI capabilities into applications.
• Experience building SaaS products, including multi-tenant applications.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSockets, background processing, caching, or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with additional backend technologies such as Node.js or Java.
• Experience with mobile or cross-platform application development.
