About the role: Consultant
Consultants help organisations solve problems and change: defining strategy, redesigning processes, implementing technology or improving performance. In the UAE, consulting firms serve government entities, state-owned groups and private companies, and many large organisations also have internal strategy, transformation or excellence teams.
Government modernisation, digital transformation, economic diversification and sustainability programmes generate a steady flow of consulting work. Roles range from analyst and consultant to manager and partner in strategy, management, technology, engineering, human capital and public sector practices. Abu Dhabi and Dubai host most of the work, with frequent client-site assignments.
Recruiters look for strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured communication and the ability to present to senior stakeholders. A strong academic background, sector expertise and, for public sector work, Arabic are significant advantages. Case interviews are common in strategy and management consulting.
