About the role: Sales executive
Sales executives find customers, present products or services and close deals. Depending on the company, the role can be field sales, visiting clients across the emirates, inside sales by phone and video, or technical sales, where a sales engineer explains equipment and solutions to specialist buyers.
Trading and distribution is a backbone of the UAE economy, so sales roles exist in almost every sector: building materials and industrial equipment, FMCG and food distribution, automotive, technology, real estate, hospitality, healthcare and education. Many jobs are tied to the re-export trade through Jebel Ali and the free zones, with customers across the Gulf and beyond.
Packages often combine a basic salary with commission or bonuses, so read how targets and incentives are defined before accepting an offer. A UAE driving licence is frequently required for field roles, and Arabic or another language spoken by key customer groups is a strong advantage.
Main responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new customers
- Present products and prepare quotations
- Negotiate prices and close sales
- Follow up on orders, deliveries and payments
- Update the CRM and report on the pipeline
Skills employers look for
- Proven track record against targets
- Negotiation and persuasion
- CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Zoho
- UAE driving licence for field roles
- Arabic or other customer languages

Quantify your results: targets achieved, revenue generated and key accounts won. Experience selling in the UAE or the wider GCC, and an existing network in your sector, are often the deciding factors for employers.
