About the role: Retail and sales associate
Retail jobs cover everyone who serves customers in shops and malls: sales associates, cashiers, visual merchandisers, stock controllers, assistant managers and store managers. The work combines customer service, product knowledge and the daily routine of keeping a store stocked, tidy and profitable.
Shopping is a major part of the UAE economy and of tourism, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where large malls host hundreds of international brands. Recruitment is led by retail groups that operate franchises for fashion, beauty, electronics, sports and luxury brands, by hypermarket and supermarket chains, and by duty free operators at airports. Hiring peaks before major sales seasons and festive periods.
Store roles usually involve shift work, weekends and public holidays, and long hours during sales events. Languages are an asset because customers come from all over the world: Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Hindi and European languages are often requested, particularly in luxury and tourist-oriented stores.

Applying in the UAE
Previous retail experience with a known brand is valued, but many groups hire motivated beginners and train them. A clear CV with your languages and availability, plus a professional appearance at interview, makes a difference.
