Graduate and entry level: our advice
Graduate and entry-level jobs are positions open to candidates with little or no professional experience: graduate trainee programmes, junior roles, assistant positions and first jobs after university or college. In the UAE, they are offered across the economy, from engineering and technology to hospitality, retail, logistics and customer service.
Large employers, including government-owned groups, energy companies, airlines and multinational firms, run structured graduate programmes that rotate trainees through several departments, with many places reserved for UAE nationals. Elsewhere, entry-level roles in sales, customer service, administration and hospitality are a common way into the job market, with promotion based on performance.
Competition for graduate roles can be strong. A focused CV, internships or part-time experience, and evidence of motivation make a difference. Read each offer carefully: the job title, salary, working hours and visa arrangements should be clear before you accept.
Tips for applying
- Highlight internships, projects and part-time work
