Many government vacancies are open only to UAE nationals, and a growing number of private companies actively recruit Emirati talent.
Private companies with 50 or more employees must increase the share of UAE nationals in skilled roles by 2% each year, which drives demand in fields such as administration, human resources, finance, technology, engineering, sales and customer service. Nafis, the federal programme supporting Emiratis in the private sector, offers training, career programmes and financial support to eligible candidates and helps connect them with employers.
Graduate programmes, sponsorships and apprenticeships are offered by energy, aviation, utilities and technology employers, among others. When applying, make sure your Emirates ID, qualifications and any registration with Nafis are up to date, and check whether a role qualifies for Emiratisation support.
