About the role: Medical representative

Medical representatives promote medicines, medical devices or consumer health products to doctors, pharmacists and hospital departments, explaining clinical data and building long-term relationships with prescribers. In the UAE, they are employed by pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers and the distributors that represent international brands.

The job is field-based: you plan visits across an assigned territory, which can cover several emirates, and report activity in a CRM. A science degree in pharmacy, biology, nursing or a related field is commonly required, and a UAE driving licence is often essential. Some roles focus on a therapeutic area, others on key hospital accounts or tenders.

Employers value a proven sales track record, knowledge of the local healthcare landscape and the ability to present scientific information accurately and ethically. Experience in the same therapeutic area and an existing network of healthcare professionals make a clear difference.
