About the role: Housekeeping and cleaning
Housekeeping and cleaning staff keep hotel rooms, homes, offices and public areas clean, tidy and safe. Roles include room attendants, public area cleaners, laundry attendants, housekeeping supervisors and executive housekeepers, as well as cleaners employed by facilities management companies.
In the UAE, hotels and resorts, serviced apartments, hospitals, malls, airports and office buildings all rely on large housekeeping teams, many of them provided by facilities management and cleaning companies. Supervisory and executive housekeeper roles require experience managing teams, inventories and quality inspections.
Employers look for reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work to time standards. Previous hotel experience is an advantage, and training is usually provided on cleaning chemicals and safety. Many employers in this field offer accommodation and transport; check the details, working hours and rest days in the offer before accepting.
